Gabriel “Naïm” Amor

Paris to Tucson:
Parisian Naïm Amor, along with bandmates Tasha Bundy and Nathan Sabatino enlisted the producing skills of John Parish for his first album, “Mistake Love” (2004) and those of Calexico's Joey Burns for his second, “Sanguine” (2005), a mature, French odd pop album recorded with both Burns and drummer John Convertino.

Naïm Amor’s previous incarnation, Amor Belhoom Duo, saw him collaborate with Calexico (album “ABBC”), release two albums on Carrot Top Records and tour the US and Europe with The Handsome Family, Calla, David Grubbs, Calexico, Miossec...

In addition to AMOR, Naïm records an ongoing series of instrumental albums: “Soundtracks: Volume One” (FILMguerrero, 2002) and “Soundtracks: Volume Two” (Howe Gelb's OWOM Records, 2004). Naïm has recorded with Devotchka, Marie Frank, Howe Gelb, Calexico, Pieta Brown, Neko Case, John Convertino... and composed for Marianne Dissard and Françoiz Breut.
